*Silk Road Studio-Peoria admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender/expression, physical appearance, disability, or religion to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender/expression, phsyical appearance, disability, or religion in administration of its education policies, admission policies, scholarship or discount programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs.
*Silk Road Studio-Peoria holds students to the same anti-discrimination standards. SRS-P holds the right to remove individuals from class for violations, including harassment, hate speech, violence, and unsafe use of substances during class. Removed students will not be offered a refund due to incendiary behavior (punch card terminated without refund) and will be asked not to return to the property.
*Performance choreography is the intellectual/artistic property of the company and should not be used outside of the group. Personal studio choreography videos are not to be shared. Studio videos are meant as supplemental learning tools only and are restricted by additional licensing/music rights, as well as protecting the rights of any/all other individuals within the video. Solo numbers are the intellectual/artistic property of creator and can be used in any capacity.
*Dance/Yoga and other related fitness activities taught at Silk Road Studio-Peoria can be active sports, which require strength, agility, and concentration - it is solely the student's responsibility to determine they are in good health and good physical and mental condition before permitting to exercise, work out, receive instruction, or perform. They will follow the training as taught by the instructor/s, which includes proper form, posture, and learned movements, including propwork. Awareness of limitations and modified movements/breaks are seen as optimal for their dance journey and may be required to consult with a health care professional when appropriate for certain known injuries or disabilities (both visible and invisible).
*Due to safety, the studio has a "No Substance Use" policy for class. Any teacher may remove a student from class and/or ask the student not to return to the studio if he/she/they show up while under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or other psychoactive drugs. If a student is using certain substances for therapeutic/medical purposes, please discuss the requirements privately with the studio before enrolling in classes. We are very aware that certain medications/etc. can positively affect the lives of people with medical issues, but we also follow safety protocol to make sure that the environment (including driving to/from class) is the best possible venue for our students.
*The studio does its best to be accessible for all individuals and is a continuing work-in-progress. Unfortunately, it is somewhat limited by the layout of the space/outside. If you have a suggestion for an accommodation, please speak to the studio owners and they will see if it can be addressed within the limitations.
*You are entitled to a copy of your signed waiver at any time - please contact Silk Road Studio-Peoria. You are also entired to withdraw waiver consent at any time, which will cease all Silk Road Studio-Peoria opportunies, including classes, performances, and all other associated events.
