Specializing in SWANA/MENAHT ​and World Fusion dance

​Silk Road Studio - Peoria is a welcoming haven for inclusivity, specializing in non-Western dance forms originating from the SWANA/MENAHT regions (commonly known as Raqs Sharqi, Oriental danse, or belly dance). The studio focuses on teaching both conventional/classic BD styles as well as World Fusion styles. 

The friendly, non-judgmental environment encourages personal growth, learning new skills, companionship, and fitness for all adult age individuals and experience levels.

MENAHT - Middle East, North Africa, Hellas (Greece), and Türkiye
These styles of dance are usually low-to-medium impact and
are appropriate to build muscle strength, balance, and confidence.

Whether you want to start up a new activity, recover after a minor injury,
​or just have fun, ​don't be afraid to give belly dance a try!

The Studio

The studio has its own private half bath, heating/air conditioning, additional fans, mirrors, 12 foot ceilings,
​and a separate entrance. Individuals can feel comfortable attending class without the atmosphere of a large 'corporate chain gym' and prying eyes.  

We provide a safe space for all genders/sexualities at Silk Road Studio - Peoria. We do not judge on body type/presentation/adornments, and abide by our anti-discrimination policy in an effort to be inclusive. 

Conveniently Located

Located just at the top of Germantown Hill in East Peoria, the studio is a short drive from all areas, including Washington, Metamora, Morton, Peoria, and Creve Couer. It's a reasonable drive from Dunlap, North Peoria, Chillicothe, Bartonville, and Pekin due to the easily-accessible location.

The studio is located in a private, residential subdivision. It has ample parking and is easy to find. Please contact Iorra for exact location/directions to the studio.
